David Bowie has unveiled a ten-minute 'Blackstar' video

David Bowie has debuted his new single and its accompanying video.

The singer unleashed the ten-minute track 'Blackstar' today (November 20).

It is the first piece of music taken from Bowie's upcoming new album of the same name, which will land on January 8.

The experimental video for the track saw the musician work with director Johan Renck, who is known for his work on Breaking Bad.

The creepy clip features Bowie and it ends with three odd-looking people hung on crucifixes.

Bowie meanwhile shocked fans in 2013 by releasing 'The Next Day' - his first album in ten years.

However, the elusive musician did not tour the record, with Isle of Wight Festival promoter Dave Giddings recently suggesting Bowie has retired from performing live.

'Blackstar' will be the Brit's 25th studio album to date.
