David Bowie's Lazarus musical to open in London in October

David Bowie's Lazarus musical will head to the UK later this year.

The show originally premiered in New York last year, just weeks before the musician's death in January.

The musical will go on show at London's Kings Cross Theatre from 25 October to 22 January 2017.

The show was co-written by Bowie and playwright Enda Walsh, who worked on Once.

The story tells of an alien, which resembles a human, visiting Earth.

The musical is directed by Ivo van Hove and features Dexter's Michael C Hall alongside Michael Esper and Sophia Anne Caruso.

Bowie meanwhile passed away in January aged 69 after a secret battle with cancer.
