The David Bowie concert film Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars is set to be shown in cinemas across Europe this spring.

The 1973 flick, which was filmed as Bowie performed at London's Hammersmith Odeon, will be screened on March 7. Tickets will go on sale from January 11.

Bowie, who passed away last year from cancer, would have celebrated his 70th birthday on Sunday (January 8). A gig was held at London's Brixton Academy at night to honour the musician, with actor Gary Oldman organising the star-studded event.
