David Bowie scores first No. 1 album in 20 years

David Bowie has topped the UK albums chart with his brand new offering 'The Next Day'.

The position marks the iconic singer's first UK No. 1 album in almost 20 years.

His comeback record has beaten the likes of Bon Jovi's 'What About Now' and Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events' which are at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.

Bruno Mars' 'Unorthodox Jukebox' is down one place to No. 5 after 14 weeks in the chart, while Mumford & Sons' 'Babel' has climbed one place to No. 7 after 25 weeks in the UK top 40.

Elsewhere in the charts, Olly Murs' 'Right Place Right Time' is down six places to No. 13, while Calvin Harris' '18 months' is a non-mover at No. 17.
