Last night's performance saw surprise guest appearances from Olly Murs, Jason Donovan and Lulu, and Gary also did a whole lap of the audience at one point, getting mobbed by all the female fans!
Tonight, Gary's X Factor protégé, Marcus Collins will be making the trip to the Royal Albert hall to duet with his mentor.

Gary Barlow in Concert
'In Support of Young People'Concert in aid of The Prince’s Trust and The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Royal Albert Hall, December 5th & 6th 2011With Special Guests The Pierces.

Take That star and recently appointed X Factor head judge Gary Barlow today announces his first UK solo shows in over 11 years. The two concerts (Dec 5th & 6th) will be held at London’s stunning Royal Albert Hall, an all-time favorite venue of Gary’s, and will support disadvantaged young people by raising vital funds for The Prince’s Trust and The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.

The acclaimed singer /songwriter sisters, The Pierces, will be Gary’s special guests on both nights, opening up proceedings with their beautiful harmonies and unique musical sound.

Gary is one of the UK’s most-loved musicians, a member of one of the biggest and most successful bands the UK has ever produced, a distinguished singer/songwriter and now also a judge on the new series of X-Factor. He has long been a supporter of the work undertaken by youth charity The Prince’s Trust having donated proceeds from his GB40 show earlier in the year and also attended The Trust’s Rock Gala event in 2010.

"It’s really important to me that disadvantaged young people get the support they need, especially at the moment. The Prince’s Trust along with The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry are both doing great work with young people and I liked the idea of recognising the work of the whole family. I hope the money raised through these concerts will make a real difference to young lives.”

‘Gary Barlow in Concert’ will be Gary’s first full solo shows since 1999 and will see him perform songs from his incredible music career spanning over 20 years. Take That have sold over 30 million albums and seven million tour tickets over the course of their career, with their recent Progress Live Tour being the biggest tour that the UK and Ireland have ever seen.

Gary’s contribution to British Music as a whole has been unquestionable and his reputation as a singer, songwriter, pianist and performer is undeniable.

Monies raised from the two concerts will go to The Prince’s Trust and The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. The money raised for The Prince’s Trust will support the charity’s UK City Riots Appeal, helping disadvantaged young people from riot-torn areas to rebuild their lives and communities. The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry will also use the funds raised to support disadvantaged young people, which is one of the Foundation’s three core project areas. In particular, it will use the funds to support innovative projects dedicated to providing young people with the tools and aspiration to fulfill their potential.

Martina Milburn, chief executive of The Prince’s Trust, says: “The Prince’s Trust was set up in 1976 following social unrest and high youth unemployment. Today, our work with disadvantaged young people is more relevant than ever – with riots in our cities and the number of jobless young people at a record high. We are enormously grateful to Gary Barlow for helping us to raise funds for such a timely cause.”
Nick Booth, Chief Executive of The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry says, “We are delighted to be involved in such a fantastic event, drawing attention to vital projects that are transforming the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK. We would like to thank Gary Barlow and all those involved in the concerts and hope that, through their kindness, we can rekindle the aspirations of so many."

Tickets go on sale on 28 October at 9am and are priced at £40, £45, £55, £65, £95 and are available from:
