Leona debuts winning dress design at Royal Variety Performance

Leona Lewis, winner of her designer search competition is announced. 

 Leona debuts the design at the Royal Variety Performance - Broadcast on ITV1 - Wednesday 14th December - 7.30pm.

Hundreds of budding designers enter themselves into the search to design ethical outfit for exclusive upcoming performance.

Leona has showcased the winning dress in her Talenthouse competition to design a very special outfit for an upcoming performance - a performance that today is revealed to be the very prestigious Royal Variety Performance.

After thousands of entries Leona, alongside her judging panel (designer William Tempest and Glamour editor Jo Elvin) announced the winner to be Lilyana Maslenishka from Bulgaria. After some very tough competition the judges were unanimous in picking the beautiful and eye-catching floor length creation.

As part of the competition, budding designers were asked to design ethical outfits, staying true to Leona's love of animals and dedication to campaigning for animal rights.

Leona said, "We all spent so long going through each and every design and I was amazed and impressed by the care, time and effort people put in. Thank you to Jo and William for their invaluable help in judging all of the entries. Lilyana is such a worthy winner and I absolutely loved wearing her dress."

With such tough competition at such high standards, the judges also selected first and second runners-up, which were awarded to Josie Smith and Francisco Aguilar respectively.

Fans can see Leona debut the dress on the Royal Variety Performance, which airs on ITV1 on Wednesday 14th December at 7:30pm.
