Dry the River return to England, but not for long!

Dry the River - the guys are heading back to the UK today after an epic three week tour with Bowerbirds in America, ready for OneFest tomorrow where they're supporting headliner Damon Albarn.

They headline at the Garage this Sunday as part of the Time Out Live sessions, and then kick of their UK / IE tour in Nottingham on Tuesday - playing Electric Ballroom in Camden on May 2nd, which sold out over two months ago!! They're only here for a bit though, as they've just announced a set of May headline dates in America, to add to their shows in Europe next month!

Single 'New Ceremony' is out on Monday in time for Record Store Day on April 21st, and is released as a limited edition gatefold 7" vinyl, available in participating record stores. The guys will be playing an in-store at Drummond's in Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon, before their show there that evening.

They shot the video for 'New Ceremony' in LA in between shows on the Alabama Shakes tour earlier this year, with cult director Raul B. Fernandez

Dry the River have announced details of the release of a new single. 'New Ceremony' will be released on Monday 16th April 2012 through RCA Victor. The single will be available as a limited edition gatefold 7” to coincide with Record Store Day, and digital download.

The single is taken from their recently released 11-track debut album 'Shallow Bed', which was produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) at his Connecticut home-studio during the summer of 2011 and is accompanied by a video filmed in L.A. by cult director Raul B. Fernandez whilst the band were on tour with Alabama Shakes.
Having started the year with as one of the 15 artists on the prestigious BBC Sound of 2012 shortlist, they recently announced their biggest headline show to date at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire in November. This show follows their headline UK & IE tour in April and May, which includes a sold out show at the Electric Ballroom in London on May 2nd.

Dry the River formed in spring 2009 and have lived together in the same shared house in Stratford east London since. Citing an esoteric list of influences - Leonard Cohen, At The Drive-In, Neil Young, Arlo Guthrie, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bruce Springsteen and Devendra Banhart – the band draw as much from their shared love of U.S. hardcore as they do from the classic songwriters they all admire.

Dry The River are: Peter Liddle (vocals / guitar), Matt Taylor (guitar), Scott Miller (bass), Will Harvey (violin) & Jon Warren (drums).
