Jay Moussa-Mann Releases New Single 'Tell Me'

After the release of her first heartfelt single earlier this year, Jay brings us her second new single“Tell Me.” The song sounds like something out of a John Carney film, starting with raw, unpolished guitar strumming, before we hear Jay’s signature piano and string arrangements. The lyrics are raw and vulnerable, telling a story of betrayal and broken promises, posing the disquieting question: What was I worth?

You can expect to hear both singles on her second self-produced album, The Breakup Album, coming out later this year.An awardee of the Help Musicians Do It Differently Fund, Jay’s songs have been played on BBCIntroducing and BBC 6. She was a resident of Sage Summer Studios 2020

Jay Moussa-Mann is an idiosyncratic songwriter whose songs draw on myriad sources. A writer and filmmaker, she released her debut album, Little Deaths in 2019. She has been played repeatedly on BBC Introducing, Tom Robinson’s Show on BBC Radio 6, The Bob Fischer Show on BBC Tees, as well as performing live sessions on BBC Radio Tees. She has performed at Twisterella Festival, The Waiting Room and Middlesbrough Mela. In August 2020 she took part in the Sage Summer Studios Music Residency.
