Coming to life over a decade ago back in 2011, the lyrics and inspiration for ‘Night Eyes Paradise’ was born out of the first ever trip THE FUR took to New York City that year, their experience while there, and their feelings of instantly falling in love with the city. And emerging from one particular moment, the song was drawn from the experience one night of crossing the Williamsburg bridge, taking some photos of the city, and spotting an inscription on one of the rails where someone had inscribed ‘Night Eyes’. Going from there, the song further touches upon the things you see at night when your eyes are shut - from dreams, to memories, and fears; all seamlessly blended with the subtle homage to New York.
