Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra have joined forces for the release of their brand-new single, ‘No Reason To Change’. This poignant pop song, enhanced by orchestral accompaniment, speaks to the universal desire to be fully accepted as we are. It explores the concept that despite our imperfections, we can be loved unconditionally—encouraging us to drop our defences, embrace vulnerability, and trust that openness can lead to strength and connection.

At the heart of Cabin Fever Orchestra is Graeme Cornies, an acclaimed composer and musician whose career spans over 18 years in television soundtracks like Paw Patrol, and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. With ‘No Reason To Change’, Graeme bridges his two musical worlds—pop songwriting and orchestral composition—in a seamless blend of genres that showcases both his versatility and his depth as an artist.

“Usually, my pop songs and orchestral works are so different from one another that they don’t sound alike in the slightest,” said Cornies. “But this song represents the intersection of both of those sides of my musical voice, where a listener can hear how both projects would’ve naturally arisen from the same musical mind. I hear both projects distinctly, and I think this song somehow bridges those two distinct musical universes.”

The recording process for ‘No Reason To Change’ began with guitar and vocals before expanding into a lush string arrangement. Longtime collaborators Joshua Van Tassel (producer/composer) and Drew Jurecka (violin/viola) brought their expertise to the project, with Ben Trigg on cello and Bruno Migliari on double bass. The track was completed at Dreamlands Mastering by Heather Kirby, who added the final polish.

Van Tassel and Jurecka’s previous collaborations with Cabin Fever Orchestra have been integral to Cornies’ past releases, while Migliari played a significant role in ‘Ever Presence’, a prior Cabin Fever track. This team’s contributions to ‘No Reason To Change’ create a beautiful fusion of the diverse elements that define Graeme’s musical world.

As an artist who has spent over a decade reworking the iconic music of Fred Rogers for ‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood’, Graeme’s deep connection to Rogers’ messages of self-acceptance is ever-present in his work. “Fred Rogers' philosophy—that we are worthy of love just as we are—has been in my head for more than a decade. ‘No Reason To Change’ echoes this sentiment, reminding us all that we don’t need to achieve or become something else to be deserving of love.”

On the release, Graeme Cornies shares, “At first glance, “No Reason to Change” might seem like a romantic love song – about building trust, acceptance, and embracing one another as individuals, but this song could just as easily be sung to a child, or by a child to a parent, or to anyone with whom we share our lives.”
