Finnish indie rock duo messier, known for their emotionally charged soundscapes and bold experimentation, has unveiled their latest single ‘Baskervilles’ a gripping exploration of the human tendency to catastrophize. The track offers a tantalizing preview of their forthcoming sophomore album, Stream of Guilty Consciousness, slated for release in 2025.

Originally founded in Oulu, Finland, in 2017, Lauri Huumonen and Antti Orajärvi of messier have built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of indie rock. Their debut album, On Malaise, released via the iconic California punk label SideOneDummy Records in 2021, established the duo as a force to be reckoned with. Now based in Helsinki, messier has embraced an even more expansive and daring creative vision for their second album, previewed by three singles to date, including ‘Baskervilles’.

Stream of Guilty Consciousness, showcases messier’s evolution, diving deeper into intricate moods, shifting tempos, and layered orchestrations.
