LE BRUIT, French for “the noise,” is the Anglo-French trio crafting a brooding and cinematic blend of rock atmosphérique. Led by songwriters Tom and Johanna, whose male and female vocals intertwine to haunting effect, the band fuses the raw intimacy of classic songwriting with the hypnotic pulse of post-rock, shoegaze, and stoner textures.

A Side: Idle Hands

With its atmospheric baritone guitar and dreamy percussion, Idle Hands sets out “with the sun behind you and the shadow of who you are leading the way.” Named Absolute Radio UK’s “Self-Released Song of the Month” in November 2024, presenter Danielle Perry praised its “mystique, beautiful songwriting, and atmosphere.” The track has since earned widespread airplay across the UK, Europe, and the US.

AA Side: Au Solde des Nuits

A nocturnal hymn, Au Solde des Nuits (In the remains of the night) explores the emotional weight of absence and longing. Sung in both French and English, the song drifts between fragility and strength, laced with gospel harmonies and intimate vocal interplay. A delicate tension defines the track, described by the band as “best listened to late at night, when absence echoes.”
