Indie Pop sensation Sid Dorey returns with their deeply personal sophomore EP, Middle Seat — a poignant exploration of loss, letting go, and the pursuit of belonging. Following the critically acclaimed debut, Drama in Doses, Middle Seat, builds on Sid’s signature raw storytelling and emotional honesty, inviting listeners into a space that is both uncomfortable and full of hope.

At its heart, Middle Seat, reflects the turbulent ride of becoming an adult — the heartbreak of losing loved ones, the ache of lost identity, and the courage it takes to let yourself be loved. “The middle seat can be the most uncomfortable spot in the car,” says Dorey, “but it can also be the most joyful — if you're surrounded by the right people. This EP is about finding those people, and choosing to stay.”

Sid hopes the EP empowers listeners to take ownership of their lives and the company they keep: “You are in control of who you’re around, and you can control your future. You just have to keep your seatbelt on — because we need you to stick around.”

A Florida native now based in Nashville, Sid Dorey is rapidly establishing themselves as one of Indie Pop’s most exciting new voices. Their disarming presence and bold vulnerability have earned them millions of views on social media, features in Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, and a growing fanbase that resonates with their celebration of queer identity and real, lived experiences.

Drawing inspiration from their roots in musical theatre, Sid’s songs are emotionally expressive and unapologetically honest. Their lyrics often explore themes of religious trauma, strained family dynamics, and the complexities of modern love — all through a distinctly queer lens.

Sid’s career highlights include:

• Winning back-to-back BMI x briidge songwriting contests in NYC (2022)
• Sharing the stage with viral rap duo Flyana Boss in Los Angeles
• Performing at Nashville Pride 2024
• Being selected for The Other Nashville Society (TONS) Class of 2024
• Signing a publishing deal with Arthouse Entertainment

With editorial playlist placements on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Pop Rising, Glow, Fresh Finds, and Apple Music’s New in Alternative, Sid Dorey is setting the stage for a long-lasting impact in the industry.
