It's time to pack your bags to head out for a desert road trip and you're probably wondering what supplies you need to have at the ready. Festival style is a balancing act between seizing the opportunity for fun, even over-the-top dressing and the practical considerations of heat, sun and porta-potties. We've pulled together some inspiration which should help you get right into the zone.
Luggage & Totes
First thing you'll need is something to put all your stuff in, right? The festival is three days long, so no matter how lightly you plan to travel, a small clutch isn't going to cut it. You'll want something light and durable – but which still makes a good first impression on your campsite or hotel suite neighbors.

You're going to be on your feet a lot at any festival, hoofing it between stages and dancing all night. To pull that off, you need some seriously comfy shoes. Go classic with a twist and consider a slip on style so nobody accidentally trips you by stomping on your laces in a crowd.

Layers are key here. Temperatures might swing wildly from the mid-day sun to the cool of the desert night, so you'll want to be able to peel down or bundle up as needed. Skip rompers, jumpsuits, or anything else which requires undressing in a portable toilet and go for easy pieces that look fun without screaming 'festival try-hard'.

This is the place to go all out. A super cool necklace, headpiece, or other accessory can transform a simple outfit into something festival-chic without adding bulk or warmth. Sunglasses and hats are practical as well as fashionable, protecting you from sun and helping you see your favorite bands on stage.
