Dr. Dre named highest-earning musician of 2014

Dr. Dre has topped a list of music's highest paid people this year.

The rap mogul reigned supreme in Forbes' end of the year rundown after raking in $620 million (£387.5 million).

The US star sold his headphones company Beats to Apple in May for $3 billion (£1.9 billion).

Beyoncé meanwhile is second on the list with a total of $115 million (£71.9 million).

The singer surprised fans with her self-titled album release in December last year and she has embarked on two massive tours.

The Eagles, Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen complete the list's top five as a result of their touring endeavours.

Each act is said to have made over $80 million (£50 million) each this year.
