Duran Duran are working on a potential ballet score

Iconic band Duran Duran have revealed that they're currently working on turning a song that didn't make their latest album's tracklist into a piece for a ballet score.

Speaking to Billboard magazine, the group's Nick Rhodes explained that the song in question has the kind of quality and sound that would make it perfect for the stage and they're hoping to develop it in that way:

"(The track) would clearly lend itself well to that kind of imagery, and I've always enjoyed the ballet. We have particularly good ballet in London, so we'll have to see if we can persuade them to work on it."

Rhodes went onto add that he is also working on a stage musical project with bandmate John Taylor:

"I can't really reveal more than that at the moment 'cause we're on the first draft... but we're quite pleased where we are. It's a challenge. It's all brand new material. It's a completely different discipline than trying to write songs together as a band. We're almost finished."
