Sir Elton John has been lined up to perform for the 2014 Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

The Brit will play the song 'I'm Still Standing' in Brooklyn from Jimmy Kimmel's show.

It is scheduled to take place after the bells have rung at midnight.

John joins a US-wide line-up that includes the likes of Taylor Swift and One Directon.

The '1989' star will headline the main section of the show from New York's Times Square.
