Sir Elton John storms the midweek albums chart with 'Good Morning To The Night'

Australian electronic duo Pnau have reworked some of Sir Elton John's 1970-1976 classics and their new versions, which have been packaged on an album called 'Good Morning To The Night', have made a huge impact on today's midweek update.

'Good Morning To The Night', which features 'Foreign Fields' and 'Sixty', shot straight in at No.1 this afternoon, pushing Newton Faulkner's chart-topper 'Write It On My Skin' down 5 places to No.6.

Paul Simon's 'Graceland' has climbed 6 positions to No.2, Maroon 5's 'Overexposed' is a non-mover at No.3, and Nas has made an appearance this afternoon (July 18) at 4 with 'Life Is Good'.

Elsewhere in the UK albums chart, Train's 'California 37' is now at No.12, Chris Brown's latest offering 'Fortune' has slipped to No.14, and Cheryl Cole's new record 'A Million Lights' is clinging on to the Top 40 at No.37.
