Dr Dre makes surprise guest appearance at Eminem's Wembley Stadium concert

Eminem played the first of two live shows at London’s Wembley Stadium last night (July 11).

The Slim Shady star made music history by being the first ever rap artist to perform as a headliner at the stadium venue.

During the course of the concert Eminem was joined onstage by his mentor Dr Dre.

The long-time friends and collaborators performed a medley together which included the hits ‘Forgot About Dre’, ‘Still Dre’ and  ‘'Nuthin' But A G Thang’.

The sold-out show saw Eminem play a set list numbering over 30 songs in front of a crowd of 80,000 fans.

The gig began with a video montage revisiting the rap star’s back story, family troubles and his time in rehab. ‘Bad Guy’ served as the opening number whilst the latter half of the set was reserved for many of his biggest hits such as ‘Stan’, ‘My Name Is’ and ‘The Real Slim Shady’.

The night was brought to a close by a sing-a-long to ‘Lose Yourself’.

Eminem has not played live in the UK since headlining Reading and Leeds festivals in 2013 and has not taken to the stage in London since 2001.

Eminem plays Wembley Stadium once again tonight (July 12).
