Eminem has confirmed plans to perform live in Glasgow this summer.

The rapper is the first name announced for the new Glasgow Summer Sessions event, which will take place at Bellahouston Park.

Eminem will perform on August 20, with other yet to be named acts set to play the outdoor venue in a series of summer gigs.

The show comes soon before the rapper hits the Reading and Leeds festivals, which takes place over August 23-25.

He is also scheduled to play Ireland's Slane Castle on August 17.

Tickets for Eminem's Bellahouston Park gig are due to go on sale Wednesday (January 30).
