Eminem shares extent of drug use: 'My organs started to shut down'

Rap heavyweight Eminem has opened up about the drug use that led to his hospitalisation back in 2005.

In a new documentary called 'How To Make Money Selling Drugs', which was directed by Matthew Cook, the 'Lose Yourself' hitmaker talks about his experience of addiction and confessed that his body started to shut down:

"My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were going to have to put me on dialysis. They didn't think I was gonna make it. My bottom was gonna be death."

"Within a month (after leaving hospital), I had relapsed and shot right back up to the same amount of pills that I was taking. I remember just walking around my house thinking every single day, I'm gonna f**king die."

He added that one piece of advice he would give to people in the same situation he was in is that "it does get better": "You just couldn't believe that anybody could ever be naturally happy, or naturally function or just enjoy life in general without being on something. I would say that to anybody that it does get better, it just does.

Meanwhile, Eminem's DJ friend Alchemist recently told the press that he is working on new material and that he is "going to further territories" with it.
