Over 60 fans arrested at Eminem's concert in Ireland

American rap heavyweight Eminem performed at Slane Castle in Ireland over the weekend (August 17) and the event was marred by a significant number of arrests.

Irish newspaper The Journal claims that 63 individuals of the 80,000 that attended were arrested for various reasons ranging from assault, minor drug offences to public order offences, and one person was booked for drink-driving.

Superintendent Michael Devine issued a statement on the series of incidents and told the press: "The vast majority of fans heeded the advice given in advance of the event which ensured everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience."

This coming bank holiday weekend, the rapper will return to the UK for a headlining performance at the Reading and Leeds Festival.

Meanwhile, he recently dropped a new track entitled 'Survival', which will feature on the soundtrack of the new 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' game. Vocalist Liz Rodrigues provides the track's hook.
