Example has been announced to perform at this year's Great Escape festival.

The music maestro will headline the Brighton Dome on May 8.

He is joined on the bill by the likes of fellow headliners Kelis and Wild Beasts, with many bands and acts due to perform throughout Brighton over the weekend.

Example said in a statement: "A lot has changed for me since I performed at The Great Escape in 2008 in a pub to about 30 people! I played there again in 2011, so it's a real honour to return [for] a third time and play on the festival's biggest stage. It's been an amazing journey – playing all the past hits and loads from the unreleased album 5, I will ensure this is a show to remember!"

Tickets for The Great Escape are available now.

Example meanwhile is due to release his fifth album 'Live Life Living' on June 23rd in the UK.
