Example slates "outrageous" meet-and-greet tickets

Example has launched an angered attack on VIP meet-and-greet tickets.

Concerts often sell special tickets that let fans meet the act before or after the show, allowing punters to get a photo of themselves with their idols.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Example criticised the idea of paying a large amount of money to meet acts, with the 'Say Nothing' star saying that he tends to interact with fans outside of the venue. He said:

"It's taking people's money for the sake of it. It's a disgrace. Why should someone pay £200 to shake your hand and take a photo? I heard about one pop band charging £200 to meet 200 people after each gig, so they were getting £40,000 a night. That's outrageous."

He added: "If I see people on the street, I'll have a photo with them. If they wait outside a gig, I'll meet them."

Example is set to tour the UK in February next year as he promotes his new album 'The Evolution of Man', which is scheduled for a November 18 release.
