THE SCHEME

400,000 youtube hits throw debut UK band into spotlight

When it comes to having it all, The Scheme come abundantly armed – the talent, the looks and most definitely the fan base.  As they prepare to release their debut single, ‘Sick of You’ on November 17, this trio are already garnering enviable attention for their lyrical talent, musicianship and vocal ability (not to mention adoration from most females who lay eyes on them!).  Plus, with nearly 400,000 youtube hits for their track, ‘Somebody Else’s Perfect’ and a string of celebrity admirers including Paul Weller and Pixie Lott, these boys are serious ones to watch!

Welcome Kris, Kyle and Billy; who together form the perfect package of The Scheme. Each are formidable vocalists in their own right, but the harmonies their voices create are truly off the hook.  Blending into a distinctive sound that’s somewhere betwixt The Script meets Lawson, these boys are creating a vibe like no other musical fusion out there.  Bold and empowering, their debut single, ‘Sick Of You’, addresses the heart-wrenching issue of departing an exhausted love. Produced at Tileyard courtesy of DP Music Productions by Billy Phillips, Hank Solo & Chris Simmonds, mastered by Mazen Murad at Metropolis Studios. The Dance Remix is Produced by Rudedog for In Demand Music and the track is graphically enhanced by a captivating video directed by Good Boy Wolf.

Musical chemistry can’t be manufactured and discovering friendship that comes hand-in-hand with talent and outstanding musical ability is almost impossible – almost!  The Scheme are the lucky ones as a fortuitous meeting at Tileyard Recording Studios led long term friends, Billy (from Basingstoke) and Kris (from Liverpool) to form an instant bond with Orlando born, Kyle.  Previously, Kyle had made a name for himself on a US show called ‘Big In America’ (which gave him an almighty and loyal fan base); Billy had written with Pixie Lott and enjoyed a number of TV appearances with the likes of Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern; whilst Kris had been in many bands and perfected his craft on the live music circuit.  But it didn’t take long for these boys to realise they had something extraordinary and their combined years of exploration and experimentation all led to this one defining union – The Scheme was born.

The Scheme based themselves in Berlin to begin songwriting and very quickly their entire album had been written.  With influences ranging the full spectrum from The Script, The Beatles, One Republic, Coldplay, Queen, right through to Justin Timberlake, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Jill Scott and Alicia Keyes it becomes clear how The Scheme have created a sound so different and fresh. As a band there’s no ‘front man’, no ‘lead’ – each of these boys are an individual supreme talent who have discovered that it’s their combined mix that makes them unique.  Individually they’re good, together The Scheme are unmistakably brilliant.

The boys already have an impressive list of celebrity fans including Pixie Lott, Coleen Nolan, Krishane, Dee Cee Lee, Tinchy Stryder, Basement Jaxx, Michael Angelo (producer) Zane Lowe, Yeah Boy, Jessie J and Paul Weller.  Added to this, professional skater, Matt Ivers, has personally requested to skate to ‘Truth About Never’ in the new ice-dance show in the US/UK called Dancing With The Professionals.

The Scheme cut an awesome image, with a sound and talent strong enough to make them as good as they look. .  The band have even generated impressive brand attention from the likes of Lacoste Footwear, Crafter Guitars, Redwing Shoes, All Saints, Boo Hoo, Gibson Guitars, Penfield, and Firetrap - all of whom have either shown the band support and/or gifted clothing. For a band yet to release their debut single, it really doesn’t get better than this!

The debut single, ‘Sick of You’ is released on November 17 through West4 Music.
