Award Winning BBC Radio Presenters Livvy

And Chrissie Release Charity Single ‘Hot ‘n Bothered’ For Sport Relief

Livvy and Chrissie are two BBC radio presenters in Bristol UK who host a lively women’s magazine show that has recently won a top industry award. They are currently raising money for Sport Relief, by doing a music video with lots of super fit Olympian athletes - It’s comedic and also making a point. Sport Relief monies will be helping those who are struggling with lack of medicine, homelessness, and mental health to name a few things Sport Relief is supporting.  This is something important and close to their hearts - the track was always for Sport Relief.

In the video Livvy and Chrissie train with Olympic swimmer and TV star Sharron Davies, learn rugby with Welsh rugby legend Jonathan Davies, sprint with Olympic medalists sprinters Iwan Thomas and Katherine Merry, play a rugby match complete with women’s Haka/Zumba, lead a fully uniformed platoon from HMS Flying Fox in a celebratory march, and do a practice parachute jump at RAF Brize Norton! Can they still walk...all will be revealed.

The video is set to their own music track, called 'Hot ‘n Bothered’ recently recorded with legendary Pee Wee Ellis – yes  - the very same regular saxophonist for James Brown. International DJ and Radio 1 presenter Jesse Rose is the executive producer.

The track was inspired by an on-air rap challenge from International conductor Charles Hazlewood and judged by Adrian Utley of super group Portishead, which Livvy accepted, wrote a rap, and then persuaded a somewhat reluctant Chrissie to perform with her. Livvy then funked the track up with some great beats and musicians, and with her music background is the “lead rap”, with Chrissie doing “backing rap”. The result is a funny, funky, cool and inspiring women’s anthem. The track is published by Fairwood Music (Bowie etc), and is currently available for pre-order on iTunes with a release date of 1st April.

Feel the Fear and do it anyway! They do that on a regular basis like when interviewing Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg, Livvy and Chrissie came away with a couple of promises.  Ed offered to put them on bank notes and, Nick to join a band with them when he finished in politics - they couldn't resist adding that in to the mix of the track!

Livvy and Chrissie’s purpose is to inspire women of a certain age to feel they have a place in society.  That you are not relegated to Room 101 and that over the age of 50 you can be sexy, sassy and strong.  That you do not have to be hidden, that you can be confident and you can realise your dream whatever your age. The music track with the amazing Pee Wee Ellis and a great funk band of all ages is to make women feel they have an anthem, so we can join together, so we can laugh together, so that you don't feel alone in the journey of recognition. So many women feel they are now past it, that there is no point in trying to feel great. Ageism is a destructive, invisible making, lonely thing and there are so many amazing women of a certain age who can and will shine. Livvy and Chrissie’s mission is to make Room 101 the place to be!

The single ‘Hot N Bothered’ is released April 1st.
