Riding high after the release of her debut single ‘Blossom’, Teri Eloise returns on December 8th with her laid back urban anthem ‘Lose Myself’.

Teri Eloise’s sugar sweet tones and soulful vibes point to a musical hybridity that is not surprising given her British-Trinidadian heritage. Born in Britain and raised in Trinidad and Tobago has meant that Eloise has been able to gain a huge appreciation of both cultures.

Her debut release ‘Blossom’ showcased how artfully Eloise is able to merge these two contrasting musical styles, whilst ‘Lose Yourself’ (a classic pop and R&B anthem) shows her versatility and flexibility as an artist.

Starting simply, ‘Lose Myself’ places Teri Eloise’s vocals front and centre which is right where they should be. Her voice is achingly beautiful while being tonally unique, and rhythmically exciting.

“When I wrote this song, I was tremendously lost, trying to figure out myself and my future” says Eloise. “I had a tendency to drop everything for the person that I was with, usually prioritising them and their needs”. It’s a track about growth and self-development, it’s about growing up and releasing the toxicity of you own behaviour, and loving yourself enough to change it.

Eloise began writing music at the age of 7, she taught herself the Guitar and the Piano and learnt how to produce her own music using YouTube tutorials. However, it was not until she was 14 and began gaining online notoriety that she really began to believe in herself after a lifetime of feeling shy and introverted.

Her first release ‘Blossom’, a trap inspired track with Caribbean influences, gained praise for its message of self-love and female strength, and as a result was chosen to be played on BBC Introducing.

With her sweet R&B vibes and a sound not unlike Early Arianna Grande, Teri Eloise promises to bring a much needed dose of Summer spirit to the upcoming cold and dreary winter months. ‘Lose Myself’ is released on December 8th, and with the whispers of new music already on the horizon, you’re not going to want to miss what this British/Trinidadian rising star does next….
