Singer-songwriter-producer Kate Lomas’ new music video for ‘Happy Like This’ is the Summer feel-good staple for 2019. With sun-soaked scenes involving parties, sports courts and swimming pools a-plenty, the ‘Happy Like This’ visual entices all viewers to seize the moment and enjoy life to the fullest.

Ever since 2016 Kate Lomas’ big break in music has seen this young talent break free out of her hometown and making it big in London, writing, producing, recording and releasing smash single after smash single. Her unique blend between indie inspired electronic pop has put Lomas at the forefront of recognition, by some of the industry’s most illustrious individuals and big-time establishments. From catching the attention of BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball to making her Glastonbury live performing debut this year, Kate’s hard graft and whole-hearted dedication to music has seen her career well and truly kick-off.

Lomas’ latest release comes in the form of the accompanying music video to her anthemic upbeat song ‘Happy Like This’. The visual reflects the topics the song so heavily touches upon, with Kate describing the lyrics behind the track saying “Happy Like This is all about realising you’re happy with who and where you are” says Kate. “It’s the constant battle you have with yourself when you’re striving to achieve something, and you feel like you should always be one step further ahead to be happy. This song is about embracing the moment and placing your value in the here and now.”

Encapsulating the carefree attitude Kate so desperately wanted to portray, Lomas teamed up with Croatian director Paolo Gentilini to visualise the light-hearted direction the video wound up taking. Living life for the moment, Lomas can be seen to be depicted across several scenes that have a slightly different mood and feel, as though life is just flashing before your very own eyes and you’re reflecting on all those happy, childlike moments.

With the music video release of ‘Happy Like This’ now out to the world, it seems like new material from Kate Lomas can soon be delighting everyone’s ears in 2020.
