Hot on the heels of his previous success with ‘Home’, Jerad Finck is continuing to debut his intellectual brand of analogue-driven synth-pop with rousing anthem, ‘New Kids’.

In the wake of his massive success with ‘Home’, Jerad has crafted another excellent piece of pop music with a message to set it apart from anything else in the charts right now. It’s a timely message of the revolutionary power of solidarity in today’s youth, something which we can see happening the world over. And as the youth of today gather together and protest for climate justice, it’s easy to see how songs such as Finck’s would be an inspiring and driving force in their fight to save the planet.

“Time to rise up, gonna hear our voices,” is the rousing cry of the chorus, chanted along by Jerad and the followers he has gathered in his mission towards solidarity in the youth. For this song, Finck continues to experiment with mixing analogue and electronic equipment to create a sound which is uniquely his.

This song comes with a success story already half-written - since its release in the US, ‘New Kids’ has already made one hell of an impact. Finck has, overall, already amassed over two million Spotify streams, but ‘New Kids’ brings with it a philanthropic effort rarely seen in an artist so new on the scene. Collaborating with popular UK duo Seawaves, Finck released a charity remix version of the song for which all the profits will go towards Everytown for Gun Safety (www.everytown.org), a non-profit which advocates for gun control against gun violence.

His philanthropic efforts certainly set him apart from the rest of the crowd, especially for an artist so new to the scene. Finck is certainly on the pulse when writing lyrics like these - so prominent and poignant in today’s climate of political unrest. This is a song which displays a hopeful look towards a future worth fighting for, something which we could all use a little of right about now.
