Australian musical chameleons Furnace and the Fundamentals are taking on
The band described as “humanity’s most exhilarating dance party” have turned their talents to reimaginations of staple songs as the festive season rolls around just in time for their Christmas album release, ‘A Very Furnace Christmas’. In their newest take on a classic track, Furnace have put a Christmas-sy spin on Rage Against The Machine’s headbangingly upbeat ‘Killing In The Name Of’, renamed in true Furnace and the Fundamentals style as ‘Giving In The Name Of’.
Following on from these releases the fun-loving band are capping off a huge 2019, which has seen them play to over 20,000 people at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, close the main stage at Royal Ascot, headline London’s Electric Ballroom and play to packed crowds at festivals and clubs across the UK & Europe. Back home in Australia, they continue to enjoy success as the country’s biggest party band, selling out the 2,000 capacity Enmore Theatre in Sydney and recently being announced for NYE on the main stage at Lost Paradise Festival.
Now, their incredible party-starting energy will blow the roofs off millions of households celebrating Christmas across the UK with the release of ‘Giving in the Name Of’, in advance of ‘A Very Furnace Christmas’ and alongside the announcement of 2020 tour dates just around the corner.
