The wait is almost over… Buckle up, Furnace and the Fundamentals are injecting some good, silly fun into the Christmas waiting game with upcoming album, A Very Furnace Christmas, set for release everywhere this Friday!

Friday the 13th is the perfect date for a band this good at subverting expectations, this time of what makes a good Christmas song. Taking melodies from well-known classics such as ‘Killing in the Name’ and the ‘YMCA’ and changing the lyrics to sing about gift-giving and decking the halls is a fabulously fun-filled way to celebrate the season.

The video for ‘YMCA’ sees the band rolling out of bed to the tune of sleigh bells - mixed in with that instantly recognisable brass part - to gather around a piano together and start decorating the tree, having lots of fun and causing mischief in the process.

This latest release is following a massive bout of news and press about “humanity’s most exhilarating dance party” - who have secured the coveted main stage spot in Australia’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebrations, Lost Paradise Festival. This news follows a massive year for the band, who have sold out London’s Electric Ballroom in a show-stopping headliner gig as well as play to the 20,000-strong crowd at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

This fun-loving band are taking no prisoners in their mission to get everyone rocking around the Christmas tree this holiday season - watch the video for their Christmas-themed ‘YMCA’ cover to get in the holiday spirit!
