What do you do when you’ve conquered all in your field, fought your way to the top and beat out all your male counterpoints to emerge victorious? You write a song about it.

That’s what Astraea’s done. ‘Tonight I Run’ is the solo release from female producer Astraea who has managed to make a name for herself as one of the go-to producers at work today, no mean feat for a woman in an overwhelmingly male-dominated field.

It’s a song which directly addresses this struggle, and emerges triumphant. Not only do the lyrics reflect how far she’s come, but the expertly-placed and euphoric-sounding instrumentation reveals how Astraea has overcome all obstacles in her path to get to where she is today.

The video, filmed in lockdown, sees Astraea at her most passionate and determined, performing the song with all the power it clearly took her to get to this point. There is no question, having watched her, that this woman will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. A truly inspiring listen.
