Astraea, amongst a host of other fantastic artists, took to the webcam last week for a live show with Talentbanq and The Camden Chapel in celebration of Pride month.

Astraea performed songs, including the newly-released ‘Nobody Loves Me Like You’ on a Facebook livestream along with a whole host of other fantastic artists for Talentbanq and The Camden Chapel’s Pride celebration.

A relatively new artist on the scene, Astraea has already had plenty of experience in working within the music industry since many of her self-produced and recorded songs have ended up in the world of sync. Her songs have soundtracked crucial moments of British TV - emotional moments in Love Island, or the Lloyds Bank advert.

This experience no doubt helped her to appear calm and confident in front of the camera, despite the relative surreality of performing for a webcam audience, and the sweltering heat of an early British summer heatwave! Her voice sounded strong throughout the stripped-back set, with only her piano to accompany her exposed vocal.

Her music is, as she pointed out, normally characterised by a more electronic backing, but the songs translate well to the emotion which she brought to the performance, illustrating the versatility of her songwriting.

With her latest single, ‘Nobody Loves Me Like You’ out now, and her monthly listeners on Spotify inching ever-closer to 40,000 - it’s clear that huge things lie ahead for this talent on the rise.
