During these strange times the world is living through in 2020 it feels like we need an upbeat pop track for the summer months at home and Kris James’ new single ‘Naïve’ is a strong contender to become just that.

The slick production complete with horns and flowing keyboards really works well with James’ voice as it does not interfere with the lead vocal but instead provides a fluid accompaniment as he sings “Now, hey, I’m fine on my own” not in a sad way, but in a ‘fresh start’ attitude.

Kris James spent his early years singing the music of The Beatles and Frank Sinatra in karaoke bars in Liverpool to hone his vocals, but he actually has also developed his skills as a songwriter and as a result he has been able to write earworm pop music with relatable lyrics whilst still doing it his way.
