Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jonny Ong has released the official music video for his latest single ‘Chloe’.

Created by Alvaro Ortega, the animated clip accompanies Ong’s tale of acceptance that a female only known as Chloe has a venomous streak as he croons “Chloe how do you sleep?” Ong performs the track on electric guitar and handpan alongside several talented musicians whilst a female (modelled by Rosanna Wallis) walks past a slithering snake, a British bulldog and Sixties psychedelic designs.

The Mexicana-esque trumpet by Yelfris Valdés rings out as the rhythm section of Johnny Thwaites (Bass) George Willets (Drums), Riduan Zalani (Pandeiro and Shakers) and Satin Singh (Tabla) keeps the song flowing.

The song’s production is slick with mastering done at Abbey Road Studios with Scott Knapper mixing the track. Jonny Ong opted to co-produce the track with Callum Rose and the finished product is this mash-up of jazz, pop, elements of world music and psychedelic rock that are complimented by Ong’s vocal.

In conclusion, ‘Chloe’ includes a radio friendly voice and thoughtful lyrics whilst the video is a wondrous colourful adventure that puts a smile on your face.
