Exploring the complexities of love and relationships, HEARTBREAK PLAYER embraces that all too familiar struggle when your heart pulls you in one direction while your head tells you to run the other way.

Mixing hypnotic vintage synths with fresh beats and Ruby’s soulful and emotive voice, HEARTBREAK PLAYER takes you on a journey as the song speaks of the hope felt when you initially lock eyes with someone across a crowded room and feel the sparks fly, through to that moment when you realise that you’ve once again been drawn to the same old heartbreak.

The fresh and innovative pop-dance track from PRESIDENT STREET buzzes with excitement and apprehension and perfectly captures the confusion of following that familiar self-destructive pattern of falling for the wrong person. HEARTBREAK PLAYER is guaranteed to get you up onto the dancefloor, no matter how out of practice you are. “I don’t want another heartbreak player / I don’t want another video gamer / I don’t want no cheap time waster,” sings Ruby in a relatable tone of hope and determination.

To celebrate this release, the duo aren’t stopping - tour after tour will see them through until mid-2022 in support of ROACHFORD (and one other very special announcement which is coming soon). Having collaborated with everyone from The Clash to Beverley Knight, Roachford is now a master of his trade, and promises to take you on a wild and unexpected journey. “I like to improvise, so no two shows are ever the same,” he says. Add to this the magic and attitude of President Street and you have yourself what promises to be a spectacular show.

Completely restructuring their live show to create a sound big enough to fill the O2 Theatres, PRESIDENT STREET have taken a strong departure from their previous acoustic setup to create a dynamic and exciting stage show that sees the band expanding their sound with beats, keys, electric guitar, loop pedals and more.

Making their way to the UK for the first time since before the pandemic, PRESIDENT STREET are impatient to get back on the road. “We are super excited to get back over to the UK and get in front of our fans and share our new songs with them. It feels like forever since we were last there and we’re so buzzed to be part of the excitement of the return of live music and to get the chance to connect once again with people in real life”

HEARTBREAK PLAYER builds on the success which PRESIDENT STREET have already found in the UK, once again seeing them straddling the boundaries between straight-up pop and nostalgic dance music, as found in their drum ‘n’ bass influenced beats. This creative songwriting and production duo have been hard at work with Pete and Ruby once again teaming up with longtime collaborator Ash Howes to work on production, putting his years of know-how to good use.
