Singer-Songwriter Livvy Lauren to Shake Up the Pop Scene with Debut Single "Felt Love"Livvy Lauren - ‘Felt Love’20th September, 2024OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Fifth Element PR Livvy Lauren, a rising star from Kent, is set to make waves in the pop scene with the release of her seductive debut single, ‘Felt Love.’ The infectious track, which gained attention after a surprise feature on Love Island, is a dance floor-ready anthem that masterfully blends pulsating synths with Livvy’s smoky, captivating vocals. Influenced by the thrill of club dancing and the electrifying energy of new connections, ‘Felt Love’ is a powerful introduction to Livvy’s melodic talent and her determination to uplift listeners with a sun-soaked, feel-good vibe. Singing straight from the heart, she captures the rush of desire, matched perfectly with a beat that compels you to move. ‘Felt Love’ was written at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios alongside renowned writer/producer Jungle Boi (Zayn, R3hab, Shy FX, Lily Allen), with the remaining parts recorded at Metropolis Studios. Teasing more exciting releases ahead, the track sets a promising tone for Livvy’s unique brand of pop, which skilfully blends genres like drum and bass, house and RnB. Inspired by the fearless energy of Tate McRae and Doja Cat, Livvy also aims to bring her electric stage presence into her music, ensuring that her live performances are as dynamic as her songs. Following a period of experimenting with high-energy dance tracks, ‘Felt Love’ was unexpectedly featured on Love Island before its official release. Speaking on the journey from hearing the track on the hit TV show to its introduction to the world, Livvy shared: ‘‘It was a crazy thing to get actually. I was working on my sound at the time and was writing lots of music and getting a load of ideas out into a bank of music, which is essentially ready to go, and with ‘Felt Love’, I sent it to my managers and said ‘Guys, Love Island is on right now and I feel like this is a really good song for the show - but it wasn’t even mastered at this point, and I didn’t expect anything to come from it. I just thought, let's send it and see what they say and get some feedback for it. So that was sent off, I didn’t hear anything, and the only other person I’d sent it to was my best friend Fleur. This was some months before, but she was watching Love Island that night and I was out in London and she called me saying ‘Liv, your song’s on Love Island - I swear this is your song!’ and put her phone up so I could hear. From sending a demo to having my song played was a super crazy, surreal moment - and then we realized it wasn’t released. So me and the team had to work on getting the single ready within 24 hours, which was chaotic but unreal!’ Having been immersed in music since the age of 4, Livvy’s journey began with singing lessons and music studies during school, where she discovered her passion for songwriting. Over the years, music became more than just a hobby—it became a therapeutic outlet, helping her navigate struggles with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Despite her love for songwriting, she never initially saw it as a career path. However, after finishing her degree in musical theatre and sending her songs to producers, the positive feedback she received reignited her drive to share her music with the world. Now, as an independent artist, she is determined to make her mark with ‘Felt Love’. Livvy’s music stems from her personal journey and displays honest expression through music. Drawing from a background that spans jazz, classical training and old-school soul, Livvy’s musical journey was influenced by legends like Aretha Franklin, where she first found her unique voice. Today, she brings that same soulful energy into her vocal performances, introducing a hypnotic touch to her vibrant soundscapes. Each song Livvy writes is deeply personal, rooted in real experiences and raw emotions. Her lyrics capture the sad and difficult moments she’s been through, offering a way to vent her energy and transform challenging situations into something positive. Whether it’s an honest conversation with her partner or reflections on family life, her music is always sincere, aiming to connect with listeners on a deep level. “I want people to feel the same release I feel when I write these songs,” Livvy says. “While some tracks may make you cry, I hope they also help people relate to their own experiences and feel understood.” Livvy’s creative journey recently took her to New York, where she filmed a visualiser for ‘Felt Love.’ Shot against the stunning backdrop of the city’s iconic streets, the visualiser offers a subtle, relaxed take on a traditional music video, perfectly complementing the euphoric feel of her music. ‘Felt Love’ - 20th September For more information, images or to request an interview contact Cat at Fifth Element
