Florence + the Machine outselling the entire Top 5 on UK albums chart

The midweek chart update has been confirmed today and it shows that Florence + the Machine are currently outselling the whole of the Top 5 singlehandedly with their new record, 'How Big How Blue How Beautiful'

If Florence + the Machine maintains their chart lead, it’ll mark Welch's third consecutive chart-topping studio album, after 'Lungs' (2009) and 'Ceremonials' (2011). Britain’s Got Talent champions Collabro are new in at No.2 with their second album 'Act Two' and Jamie xx’s debut solo LP 'In Colour' has debuted at 3.

Simply Red’s 'Big Love' is on course to become their 13th Top 10 record as it made an appearance at No.4 and Slaves start at No.5 with their debut effort, 'Are You Satisfied?' The Darkness, who recently sat down for an interview with Pressparty, landed at No.6 with their fourth studio album 'Last Of Our Kind' and singer Jason Derulo is at Number 12 with 'Everything Is 4'.
