Florence Welch eyes 2013 Grammy success

Florence Welch has declared she wants to follow in Adele’s footsteps by dominating next year’s Grammy Awards.

Released in October last year, Florence + The Machine’s second album, Ceremonials, missed the cut-off point to receive any nominations at last Sunday’s ceremony but will be eligible for the 2013 awards, a goal which Welch admits she has her sights on:

"It's definitely been Adele's year and I couldn't be prouder of her. Ceremonials will fit into the mix for next year's Grammys, so we will have to see."

The flame-haired songstress also told the Sunday Mirror that she was happy to be back in the UK after a recent US tour: "It's been a tremendous few months, seeing new places and meeting people, but I'm glad to be home."

The 25-year-old picked up a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2010 but lost out to US jazz multi-instrumentalist Esperanza Spalding.
