Florence + the Machine battle Maroon 5 for this week's UK No.1 single

While Florence + the Machine have managed to hold onto the No.1 position in today's (July 18) singles chart midweek update, they are neck and neck with the current No.2 song.

'Spectrum' has been confirmed as the best-selling single of the week so far, but the Official Charts Company has revealed that there are less than 1000 copies separating it from Maroon 5's 'Payphone', which is right behind at 2.

The race for Top 5 positions is also heating up as there are less than 200 copies between Stooshe's 'Black Heart' (No.3), Will.i.Am's 'This Is Love' (No4), and Chris Brown's 'Don't Wake Me Up' at 5.

The X Factor's Misha B has landed within the Top 10 this afternoon as her debut offering 'Home Run' shot in at No.9, B.o.B's 'Both Of Us' featuring Taylor Swift has entered at 26, and Far East Movement's 'Turn Up The Love' makes an appearance at 36.

Elsewhere, Taio Cruz's 'There She Goes' has slipped a hefty 13 positions to No.38, The Wanted's 'Chasing The Sun' is currently at No.24, and Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' is down 2 to 11.
