Gary Barlow: 'The Take That musical has got to happen'

Singer Gary Barlow has revealed that he would love to turn the Take That story into a stage musical because their journey as a band was a very interesting one.

During an interview with The Sun newspaper, the hitmaker explained that if he were to turn the story into something for the West End or Broadway it would probably be similar in style to the popular Jersey Boys musical:

"The Take That musical has got to happen. I think it's a great story. I watched Jersey Boys and it's not too dissimilar to our story. I would love to get that on stage."

As previously reported, Barlow also went onto add that he feels as though he is on the brink of cracking the U.S. market now: "I think I'm now on the brink of success in America. It's come to me, I haven't chased it. I haven't been lying in bed, thinking, 'I've got to crack America.' I did in the 90s, but I honestly haven't considered it since. It's fallen at my feet."
