Gary Barlow opens up about the pressures of being a celebrity and an X Factor judge

In an interview with Esquire Magazine, Gary Barlow describes the pressures he faces as a celebrity and as an X Factor judge.

He compares success to drugs and how he is always wanting more:

"...I think once you’ve tasted it, especially once you’ve tasted it a number of times, you never want to lose it. It’ll annoy my wife for years, that, but there you go".

The Take That singer goes on to add that the X Factor has shown him a new side of being a celebrity:

"All those people out there watching every move you make and analysing it and talking to their friends about it and Tweeting and gossiping I think at this point the reason I’m not particularly enjoying it is I don’t feel I’m in control of it...Maybe I’ll never feel like that. It’s a totally bloody new thing for me".

You can catch Barlow on ITV1 this Saturday as he oversees his last remaining contestant, Marcus Collins, in the final stages of the X Factor.
