Gary Barlow discusses Diamond Jubilee song disappointments

Gary Barlow has revealed that not all the contributions on his Diamond Jubilee song 'Sing' were quite up to scratch.

The Take That singer travelled the globe to take recordings of music and vocals from around the world.

However, Barlow told BBC Radio 1 that some of the audio recordings turned out to be disappointing, including some tribe vocals from Kenya - which took six hours of travel to get to. He said:

"Obviously there were some people that we travelled half the way around the world for and then thought what are we doing here? It was six hours from Nairobi to see the Maasai [tribe in Kenya], we got there and met them and it was all looking brilliant, they looked the part."

He concluded: "Then they started to sing and it was awful."
