Gary Barlow hints at possible return to X Factor

Departing X Factor judge Gary Barlow has hinted that he might return to the show in the future - but probably not next year.

Earlier this year, the Take That star announced that he was leaving the talent show after the current series, but without an act in the final, the singer songwriter admitted there's "a reason to come back".

Barlow's last remaining act, Rough Copy, were given the boot in semi-final week, and according to the Daily Mail, the judge said: "I'm very disappointed they went.

"They were so close, but I've got a very relaxing weekend - you might even see my feet on the desk."

Barlow then added: "I'm disappointed. There's a reason to come back in the future. Maybe not next year. It's been nice."

Speaking of his time on the show, Barlow said: "I've had three beautiful years on the show, really enjoyed it, met some friends for life, but it's time to go.

"I'm going to miss everyone especially Mrs O and Nicole and even Louis."

Sam Bailey is the favourite to win this year's competition, ahead of fellow finalists Nicholas McDonald and Luke Friend.
