BBC One to air special George Michael show tonight

BBC One has confirmed plans to air a George Michael concert tonight (December 27) in honour of the late star.

The singer passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 53 after suffering heart failure. The music world was sent into shock, with a host of stars paying tribute.

As a result, BBC One has confirmed that it will be re-showing Michael's 2012 gig at the Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris, which was recorded for his live album 'Symphonica'. The UK TV channel tweeted on Tuesday:

"In tribute to the late, great George Michael, tonight we'll be broadcasting 'George Michael: At the Palais Garnier, Paris'. 10pm. @BBCOne."
