Unheard George Michael track to receive first airing, eight months after his death

A previously unheard George Michael track is to receive its first air play tomorrow (September 6) morning.

The track is set to be aired on BBC Radio 2 on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show at 8:10am and is thought to be a remix of a previously-released track 'Fantasy' from the 1987 album 'Faith'.

Producer Nile Rodgers, who had been working with the singer prior to his death, said he hopes the song will make fans proud. The legendary musician and producer has been tweeting about the possible release of the track for the last few weeks.

The late star's publicist confirmed the news, saying Sony Music was "proudly" presenting the new single.

George Michael, who rose to fame in the '80s band Wham!, died on Christmas Day (December 25) last year at the age of 53.
