George Michael admitted to hospital with pneumonia

Iconic singer George Michael has been admitted to hospital with pneumonia (November 23).

The 'Faith' superstar recently cancelled several of his live Symphonica dates due to illness and has now discovered that he is suffering from pneumonia so is receiving appropriate treatment for it.

Although the postponed dates, namely the shows that were due to take place in Vienna, London and Strasbourg, are yet to be officially rescheduled a spokeswoman for the singer explained that information "will be provided when available".

A message posted on Michael's website revealed that his forthcoming performances in Cardiff have also been pulled:

"With great regret, George Michael has been forced to postpone his November 26 and 27 shows in Cardiff, Wales, due to his ongoing illness."
