George Michael avoids police action after falling out of car

George Michael won't face any charges after falling out of a vehicle onto a motorway.

As previously reported, the singer was airlifted to hospital on May 16 after being involved in a car incident on the M1.

Two eyewitnesses said that they saw the Wham! man fall out of a door on his car before tumbling onto the busy road.

He was discharged from hospital last week and the Mirror reports that he gave a statement to police about the incident, who then closed the case.

Hertfordshire police confirmed in a statement that Michael won't face any police action, saying:

"All witnesses have been spoken to and no further action will be taken."

In reference to the incident, a spokesperson for the AA added: "Seatbelts protect those in the car and others who could potentially become involved in accidents while trying to avoid people falling from vehicles."
