Michael Eavis says headliners are "already sorted" for next Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury supremo Michael Eavis has confirmed that next year's festival headliners have already been lined up.

BBC Newsbeat reports that Eavis said the bands are "already sorted" for Glastonbury 2013 - which is taking place after the event takes a year off in 2012 - as he spoke at a European festival awards ceremony in Holland.

Eavis picked up a lifetime achievement gong at the awards as Glastonbury heads towards its 50th anniversary in 2020, with the farmer certainly keen to see the famous festival reach the milestone. He said:

"I'm really determined somehow or other to make the 50 years - I don't see why I shouldn't make it. Strangely enough, I do feel incredibly fit. I don't see why I shouldn't make it. I've got the bands who want to play and the people who want to buy the tickets so why shouldn't we carry on?"
