Glee's Chris Colfer found out he was cut from the show via Twitter

It was announced yesterday, July 14, that three of Glee's biggest stars would be cut from the show by the time season 4 rolls around and it's now emerged that one of them found out the news on Twitter.

Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel, will not return to the show for its fourth series and he has revealed to Access Hollywood that he discovered the information "yesterday on Twitter - I found out that they made that announcement".

Although he is one of the few cast members with a significant work load lined up outside of the hit U.S programme, Colfer was still shocked at the change but admitted "we can't be there forever":

"I didn't necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year. I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can't be there forever. Do I want to leave the show? Absolutely not. This is home for me. But I understand that there's time for a conclusion,"

He was also nominated yesterday, July 14, for an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy and recently signed a two-book deal. Watch an interview with the talented young performer here:
